Overview

FortiVoice emergency calling features can provide additional notifications and monitoring when a 911 call is placed.

Emergency zones can be used to associate extensions with specific locations and define the actions that occur when an emergency call is made. FortiVoice can notify designated personnel, send email notifications, broadcast emergency messages, and allow authorized personnel to monitor emergency calls.

In this section, you will configure an emergency message group and an emergency zone, review emergency call recording options, and place a simulated 911 test call.
